        Welcome to the Colorado Name Change Project!  Here, you will find information and forms on how to update your name and gender marker in the State of Colorado.  Our goal is to help you better understand and navigate the process of changing your name and/or your gender marker.  We have automated the forms needed for an Adult and Minor Name Changes in Colorado and are working on form packages for your Gender Marker Change.

        You should know, from the outset, that no attorney-client relationship is formed merely by using this site, accessing the information contained here, or using the forms provided.  All information is provided as-is.

Transgender & Gender Expansive

The influence of language cannot be overstated. It shapes perceptions and can counter or perpetuate misconceptions. Language can encourage tolerance or dismiss and stigmatize. Exact terms and language about sexual orientation, biological sex, and gender identity continue to unfold with more awareness, knowledge, and openness. No matter how you describe yourself, all are welcome at the Transgender Center of the Rockies.

Support & Services

We offer holistic gender-affirming services to support transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals in Colorado. Our goal is to empower you to live your most authentic life. We provide social-emotional support and substance use treatment for the Colorado transgender community through clinical groups, individual counseling, peer-led support groups, PrEP case management, and community events.

Free, confidential HIV & STI testing

We offer free and confidential HIV and STI testing by and for our trans community in Colorado. Folks can receive same day results for HIV, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea in a trauma-informed, gender-affirming setting. There are no insurance, ID, or other pre-requisites to access these services, and you do not need to be a current client for STI testing and other harm reduction services such as PrEP, PEP, and DoxyPEP navigation.
